LAMMERT, LENTH

Postville, Ia. - Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Lammert, 78, who died at her home here after an illness of several years, were held Friday at St. Paul's Lutheran church, with the Rev. Frederick R. Ludwig, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Postville cemetery.

Mrs. Lammert was born in Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany, May 2, 1867, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Lenth. She came to the United States, settling at McGregor, Ia., when she was 20. She lived at McGregor two years before coming to Postville. Here she was married to Fritz Lammert, Nov. 14, 1890, and they lived on farms in the Postville vicinity. Her husband died in 1910.

She is survived by two sons, Edwin and Walter Lammert, both of Postville, and two daughters, Martha and Ralinda Lammert, both of Postville; three grandchildren, Dennis Lammert, in the marines, and Clinton and Duane Lammert, both of Postville; one great granddaughter, Patricia Ann Lammert, Postville, and one brother, Louis Lenth, Dell Rapids, S.D. She was preceded by her husband; a daughter who died when 11, in 1904; a brother, who died in Monona, and several brothers and sisters who died in Germany.
