Waukon, Ia. - Funeral services for R. Bruce May, 75, of Des Moines, Ia., and formerly of Waukon, who died in Des Moines Thursday, were held at the Martin Brothers funeral parlors here Saturday afternoon. The Rev. W.H. Mitchell, pastor of the Waukon Methodist church, officiated. Burial was in Oakland cemetery.

Mr. May was born in Waukon on June 20, 1870, a son of Mr. and Mrs. A.M. May, early residents here. For a number of years he was employed as a printer in the office of the Waukon Standard, published by his father, and later by himself.

He was married to Lucy Stoddard, in Waukon, on Oct. 4, 1893. In recent years the family lived in Des Moines, where Mr. May was employed by the Iowa Homestead.

Surviving are his wife, a son, Dr. Robert May, Sykesville, Md.; and a sister, Mrs. Ben Helming, Waukon. He was preceded by three brothers and three sisters.
