The death of Mrs. Olive Smith - Yarwood occurred at her home two miles east of Ridgeway on Thursday, Aug. 17th.

Olive Smith was born in Allamakee county, October 20th, 1866, and was married to Chas. Yarwood, December 23, 1893, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Yarwood began housekeeping on their farm east of Ridgeway, immediately after their marriage where they have since resided. Five children were born to them, three of whom survive her. Her mother was with her at the time of her death, but her two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Smith and Mrs. Ida Harris, both of Allamakee, did not arrive until shortly after her demise.

Her mother and two sisters mentioned, with her husband and three children, aged ten days, eighteen months, and four years, respectively, are left to mourn her loss.

The funeral services were held at the home, Sunday at one o'clock and the remains laid to rest in the Phelp's Cemetery, at Decorah. The Record joins with the community in extending sympathy to those bereaved.- Ridgeway Record.
