Mrs. Amelia Luehr, 76, who had been making her home here with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Bulman, for the past several years, passed away Saturday evening at 7:45 o'clock following a day's illness.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 12:30 at the Schutte funeral rooms and at 2:00 o'clock at the M.E. church in Dorchester, the Rev. J. Ian Fraser of this city officiating. Interment was made in the cemetery at Dorchester.

As Amelia Bublitz she was born in Germany and came to the state of Wisconsin with her parents while still a girl. The family moved to Springfield, south of Postville, and the father was a carpenter here until they moved to French Creek, northeast of Waukon, where they engaged in farming.

She married Fred Luehr and the couple lived in the Dorchester community on a farm where their eight children were born to them, all of whom survive. Mr. Luehr passed away in 1916.

Mrs. Luehr is survived by the following children: Wm. Luehr of Tabor, Alberta, Canada; Mrs. Lawson Smith of New Deal, Mont.; Albert Luehr of Spring Grove, Minn.; Mrs. Wm. G. Bulman, Postville; Mrs. Fred Wenig of Dorchester; Dr. Fred Luehr of Cresco and Arthur Luehr, Waterloo, also two brothers and a sister; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
