Waukon - Ove T. Roe, 83, a retired farmer, died Sunday in the Waukon hospital. Services will be held Wednesday at 3 in the Old West Paint Creek Lutheran church.

In 1932, Mr. Roe was elected to the state legislature and served three consecutive terms as Allamakee county representative. He was also a former president of the Paint Creek Telephone Co., and a former director of the Waukon Cooperative Creamery Co.

He was born Sept. 4, 1886, in Paint Creek township. He was married to Emma Kolsrud March 26, 1916.

Survivors included four sons, Thomas, Melvin and Willard of Waukon and Kenneth of Mesa, Ariz., a daughter, Mrs. Carl Hanson, of Phoenix; a brother Alert Roe, Waukon, 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
