Mrs. Grace Corie Lombard - Harrington, wife of Fred G. Harrington, was born in Perdy, Vernon Co., Wis., March 17, 1872, and departed this life at her home near Postville, Iowa, at 6:20 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 1930, aged 58 years, five months and one day.

She was married to Fred G. Harrington of Big Sandy, Mont., on Nov. 9, 1922. Together they came to Iowa in 1923.

She was converted to the Christian religion early in life, uniting with the M.E. church, and at the time of her death held membership in that church at Lacrosse, Wis.

Besides her husband she is survived by two sons of a former marriage, D. E. Monty of Austin, Minn., and Donald E. Monty of Denver, Colo.; also one sister and one brother, Mrs. Gus Poufuhl of Lacrosse, Wis., and Ed Lombard of Los Angeles, Calif., and a host of friends. Two sisters preceded her in death.

She had been in ill health for more than two years, the last six months of which she was confined to her bed. She was patient in her suffering and realized the fact that her time on earth was short. She was submissive to God's will and victorious in death. Her husband was her constant attendant the last few weeks of her illness.

Funeral services were conducted from the Bethel Memorial U. B. church of Postville, Thursday afternoon, Aug. 21st, the Rev. E. C. Lepper officiating. Interment was made in Postville cemetery.
