Postville Review, Fri., 26 Nov. 1915.

Dr. S. C. Meyer (sic) died at his home in Waterloo Monday. Funeral will be at Rossville today.

Dr. Silas C. Myers was taken suddenly ill while shoveling snow from the walk in front of his home at 1211 Third street west last evening and died at 8:30 o'clock.

He was born in Ohio, May 16, 1851, and came to Waterloo three years ago from Lansing, Ia.

He was a Mason and an Odd Fellow, and is survived by a widow and five children, Mrs. Zella Wilson of Bellingham, Wash., Mrs. Mabel Colsch of Waukon, Glenn T. Myers of Sawyer, N.D., C.H. and J.E. Myers of this city.

The remains may be viewed this evening at the Kistner mortuary. Tomorrow morning at 7 o'clock they will be sent to Waukon, where funeral services will be held in First Baptist church. Interment will be at Rossville, Ia.
