Postville Review, Fri., 22 Oct. 1915. From the Waukon Standard.
Dan Ludeking, who lived on the old Ludeking homestead in Ludlow township, died suddenly about seven o'clock Monday morning at the age of 38 years. He attended church Sunday and was taken ill before he got home, and the end came soon. He had been afflicted with kidney trouble for some time and this was the primary cause of death. The funeral will take place today at West Ludlow Reformed church and interment will be in the local burying ground near by. He leaves a widow and two children and several brothers and sisters to mourn for him. The deceased was one of the well known citizens of Ludlow and was popular with all who had his acquaintance. He was highly respected, well to do, a loving husband and father and a good neighbor. Fred, John, Sim and Ben Ludeking of Waukon are his brothers. His wife was a daughter of Mr. Simon Becker.-Waukon Standard.
