Postville Review, Fri., 30 June 1899. (condensed).

Nancy M. Fisher was born in Mass. in 1820 and died in Postville, Iowa, June 25th, 1899, aged 79 years.

Her parents removed from Mass. to western New York, where Nancy Maria grew to womanhood, and in 1851 was united in marriage with James C. Marston. Two years later Mr. & Mrs. Marston came to Iowa and settled on a farm near Postville, where they labored together to build a home. On June 25th, 1865, her husband ceased his toil and entered into rest, and Mrs. Marston, with five small children, was left to complete the struggle. Her heroic courage, untiring energy, together with a rich degree of mother's love proved her equal to her added responsibility.

While spending much of her time with her other children, Mrs. Marston made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Holter, of Postville, Iowa. She was for many years a member of the Free Will Baptist church, but upon its disorganization transferred her membership to the Methodist church of this place.

Her five children, Arthur F. Marston, Mrs. Carl Holter, J. E. Marston, of Earlham, Iowa, Mrs. Wm. Waters, of Manley, Iowa, and Bert Marston, survive her, and with her many friends mourn, but are comforted by the thought that their loss is mother's eternal gain

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon, Rev. B. C. Barnes, of Luana, assisting the pastor.
