Postville Review, Fri., 14 July 1899.
Plinly Murry Terrill was born Feb. 20, 1895, and died July 7th, 1899, aged 4 years, 4 months and 7 days. He was the youngest son of Myra A. and P. M. Terrill. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. W. Pollard at Bethel church last Sunday.
To the memory of little Murry:
Dearest Murry, how we miss you.
In our home so sad and lone.
None can fill your place dear Murry.
None can cheer our lonesome home.
We will miss your little footsteps.
We will miss your pleasant smile.
We will miss your loving tokens.
Which did all our hearts beguile.M. A. Terrill
A separate item in the same paper and date notes:
A child of Mr. and Mrs. Plin Terrill was buried from Bethel church last Sunday. The child was about 4 1/2 years old and had been subject to fits or heart failure all his life. The boy was on a load of poles with his father and suddenly fell from the wagon and died in about two hours. We extend sympathy to the bereaved.
Note: There is a Plinly M. Terrill 7-13 or 18-1835 to 2-25-1901 buried in Minert cemetery that may be related. There is a photo of his gravestone on the Iowa Gravestone Project site.
