Simon Adam, an old settler of Ludlow township, died at his home there on last Friday afternoon from cancer of the stomach. He was past 70 years of age, being born in Germany on January 22, 1849. He came from Missouri 27 years ago and has always resided on the same farm. The funeral was held on Monday afternoon at one o'clock from the East Ludlow German church and burial was in the cemetery near there.
