Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Swenson, long time resident of Post township, were held in the community Presbyterian Church, on Saturday, July 5, at 2 p.m. Rev. W. T. Martin, pastor of the church, conducted the services. Burial was in the Postville cemetery.

Mrs. Swenson died Tuesday in the Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota after a lingering illness.

She is survived by 2 sons, Lloyd L. of Mason City and Harlan W. of Cedar Rapids, and 2 daughters, Mrs. Ronald Grays of Minneapolis and Mrs. Clarence Thomson of Postville. Her husband, Sander O. Swenson, died nine years ago.

Mrs. Swenson was born November 10, 1876 in Post township and lived most of her life in the vicinity. She was married to Sander O. Swenson on October 18, 1898. She was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church of Postville. Mrs. Swenson spent the last few years of her life in Minneapolis.

Postville, Ia.-Mrs. Cora Swenson, 81, a lifelong Postville resident until two years ago when she moved to Minneapolis.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Community Presbyterian Church here with burial in the Postville Cemetery, friends may call at the Schutte Funeral Home

Surviving are two sons, Lloyd of Mason City, Ia., and Harlan of Cedar Rapids, Ia.; and two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Gray of Minneapolis and Mrs. Clarence Thompson of rural Postville.
