Postville Review, Fri., 28 June 1912. (condensed).

Dr. Will Cole, the dentist, for more than 35 years one of the leading men of his profession in the state, passed peacefully away at his home in this city Monday, 24 June, 1912, aged 55 years 3 months and 16 days. Although such an event had been expected for some time, when it came it nevertheless gave a shock and brought a pang of sorrow to the community.

Dr. Will Cole was born at Colesburg, Iowa, 8 March, 1857. He was married to Kittie Lee at Wadena, Iowa, 29 Dec., 1885. He is survived by his wife, three children - Harry, Merle and Anna; five sisters and one brother - Mrs. Dr. Cooper, Chatfield, Minn,; Mrs. Dr. Walker, Lamberton, Minn.; Mrs. Case Allen, Wykoff, Minn.; Mrs. John Lynch, Cushing, Okla.; Miss Emma Cole, St. Paul, Minn.; Chas. Cole, Santa Barbara, Calif.

Twenty-three years ago Dr. Cole came to Postville and opened a dental office, which he has conducted continuously since, and by his skill built up a large and lucrative business, many coming from a considerable distance to have work done. There are few men in private life who enjoyed a wider acquaintance than he and at times he weilded no little influence in politics, usually casting his lot on the democratic side.

He was no miser and enjoyed life as he was passing along. He was a man who thought much of his family and his home. He was a good and peaceable citizen, a kind and indulgent father, and he enjoyed society of his friends, those who knew him closest liked him best.

He accepted the Catholic faith and died in the firm belief of a glorious immortality. The funeral was held from the Catholic church in this city Wednesday, every business house being closed during the funeral and the floral offerings were profuse and beautiful. Interment in Postville cemetery.

Mrs. H. W. Lear of Minneapolis and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Paine and daughter of Minneapolis were among the relatives present.
