Henry Adolph Friedrichs was born in Beckstedt, Germany, May 13, 1868, and died on Friday, Dec. 13, 1912, aged 44 years and 7 months. His death was due to an accident, he having been thrown from his wagon while returning home from Sumner to the P. J. Beucher farm near Randalia, striking on his head on the frozen ground and producing concussion of the brain which terminated fatally. On January 10, 1893, he was married to Miss Helen Kropmann.. To this union were born nine children, two of whom died. March 14, 1904, he landed with his family in New York and settled near Postville. In March 1908 he moved to the Beucher farm, which having been sold he had rented one of the Larrabee farms, which he intended to move onto next March. He is survived by his wife, seven children, a brother and a sister.

The remains were shipped to Postville last Saturday and the funeral was held from the Lutheran church on Sunday. Interment in the Postville cemetery.
