Arthur Lee Sheridan

Arthur Lee Sheridan, Waukon attorney, passed away September 19, 1963. He was born [the son of Arthur E. and Cecilia (Lee) Sheridan] on June 3, 1930. He attended grade school at Saint Patrick's, Waukon, and attended high school at Campion Prep School at Prairie du Chien and Saint Patrick's, Waukon. He took pre-law at Notre Dame University at Notre Dame, Indiana, and graduated from the law school of Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 1, 1954. He also took some extra curricular work at Colorado University in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He joined his father in the practice of law in Waukon, in 1954 as a member of the firm of Sheridan & Sheridan.

Arthur Lee Sheridan was a member of the American Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association, the Wisconsin State Bar Association, Allamakee Bar Association, Catholic Lawyers Guild, member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, Catholic Order of Foresters and of the Elks.

He was married to Mary Jane Juul at Jesu Catholic Church on Marquette University Campus, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on September 4, 1954.

He left surviving him, his wife, Mary Jane Sheridan, and 5 children, Arthur Edward Sheridan II, age 7 years, Roxanne Sheridan, age 5 years, Shawn Sheridan, age 4, Michael Sheridan, age 3 years and Jeffrey Sheridan, age 2 years. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Dorothy Ann Sheridan of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Mrs. R. C. (Mary Eleanor) Cunningham of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Sheridan, Waukon.

Funeral services were held at Saint Patrick's Church, Waukon, on September 23 at 9 a.m. Internment at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waukon.
