Howard W. Gordon, 64, of Elkader, died at a care center there Friday, May 23.

Born in Lansing June 10, 1915, he was the son of William and Mabel Ross Gordon. He attended New Albin schools and was a farmer.

He is survived by a sister Mrs. Walter (Grace) Turner of Sparta, WI, and three brothers, Fred of Waukon, Arlie of Lansing and John of West Union. He was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters, Jessie, William, Frank, Rose and Marie.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 27 at the New Albin funeral chapel with the Rev. Richard Waters officiating. Burial was in the New Albin cemetery. Pallbearers were Ervin Gordon, Fred Gordon Jr., James Gordon, Laughn Gordon, Esther Lynn Meiners and Grace Wellendorf.

Martin funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
