Emil F. Weymiller, 73, died Thursday, June 9, in his home.

He was born June 6, 1907 in Iowa Township to August and Hedwig (Bettin) Weymiller, and married Elsie Fruechte on June 23, 1946, in Webster City, Iowa.

He owned and operated a DX service station in New Albin where he was a mechanic there for 47 years until he retired.

Weymiller was former president of the Community Club in New Albin, past secretary of the New Albin Fire Department and was a member of the Evergreen Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 144 of Lansing.

Survivors are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Millard (Bonita) Vickery of New Albin and Lynetta of Minneapolis; three grandchildren; and two brothers, Carl of Billings, Mont., and Edward of Eitzen, Minn.

Three sisters preceded him in death.

Services were held Sunday, June 15 at 2 p.m. in St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, New Albin, with the Rev. Milton Kading officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

The Potter-Haugen Funeral Home, Caledonia, was in charge of arrangements.
