Mrs. Martha Meitrodt, 75, Caledonia, died Saturday, Jan. 22, in a Caledonia hospital.

She was born April 22, 1907, in Dorchester, Iowa, to Jacob and Caroline (Huehl) Kumpf. She married Roy Meitrodt on Feb. 10, 1926, in Eitzen.

They had been custodians at the Caledonia Public School for many years. She retired in 1972.

They had lived in Dorchester before coming to Caledonia in 1937.

Survivors are a son, Wayne of Maple Grove; three daughters, Mrs. Clinton T. (Melba) Knox of Onalaska, Wis., Mrs. Bernice Schmitz of Elm Grove, Wis., and Mrs. Jarla Pawelski of Sun Prairie, Wis.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Emma Dehning of Dorchester, Mrs. Flora Staggemeyer of New Albin, Iowa, and Mrs. Dorothy Hull of Platteville, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her husband in January 1973, and by a brother.

Services will be on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Eitzen, with the Rev. Lloyd Fried officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Potter-Haugen Funeral Home, Caledonia, today after 3 p.m. and Tuesday morning at the church from 1 p.m. until the services.
