Eva Caroline Leui, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Leui, was born in Grand Meadow township, Clayton county, July 30, 1891, and died at the home of her parents, Saturday, March 8, 1902, of blood poisoning.

It was confidently expected that after the operation, which we mentioned last week, that Eva would at once rally and eventually regain her wonted health, but the fates had otherwise decreed, and on Saturday last, surrounded by parents and friends, the vital spark went out, and the spirit went back to Him who gave it. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of all in their hour of sorrow.

The funeral was held from the house on Monday afternoon, and in spite of the unpropitious weather and bad roads was quite largely attended.
