Mrs. Clarence H. Owen Is Called To Her Reward.

Louise Catherine Miller was born at Frankville, Iowa, on January 7, 1860, the eldest daughter of John Casper and Catherine Barbara Miller. She passed away at Postville, Iowa, May 18, 1927, aged 67 years, 4 months and 11 days.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Clarence H. Owen, and an only child, now Mrs. F. L. Herrick of Muskegon, Mich. Also one brother, J. F. Miller of Postville, Iowa, and many other relatives and friends.

At four years of age she moved with her parents to what was for many years the family home, four miles north of Hardin, in Allamakee county. There she attended the country schools and grew to womanhood. In that old home, Oct. 23rd, 1895, she was united in marriage with Clarence H. Owen, immediately going to the established new home on Washington Prairie, where they remained for three years.

In March of 1910 they moved to a farm near Fergus Falls, Minn., where they remained until the spring of 1913, when her failing health necessitated a change of work and climate, and they returned to Postville.

She was a member of the United Brethren church and was also interested in the work of the W.C.T.U., of which she was president for several years.

Funeral services were held Friday from the Community Presbyterian church, conducted by Rev. C. W. Harris, of Castalia, and assisted by Rev. Franklin Galloway. Interment was in Postville cemetery.

Those from afar attending were - Mr. and Mrs. John Easler, Mrs. Florence Easler and Ed Easler, of Harmony, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Easler and Mrs. Will Wells of Cresco, and George Custer of Madison, Wis.
