A shocking accident occurred a mile and a half east of Waukon Friday. Charles Savoie, with his brotherinlaw, Frank Skinner, had been making hay, and coming in with a load the reach under the wagon became detached. Skinner crawled under the wagon ad made an effort to again connect it. While thus engaged the hay rack fell off the forward trucks and crushed him to death. He was about (either 35 or 85) years of age and had been making his home with the Savoie family for some time.

Frank was aged 3 (b. c 1867), son of Calvin Skinner & Mary Smith Skinner in 1870 U.S.. census, Mason City, Ellington, Hancock County, IA

His sister Ella married Chas Savoie
