Carlyle Myron Mead, son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy A. Mead, died at the home of his parents in Waterloo, Iowa, at five o'clock Friday evening, Dec. 2, 1910, of diabetes. He was born May 4, 1900, in Postville, where he was baptized. At the time of his death he was aged 10 years, 6 months and 28 days. The sympathy of our people is with the afflicted family. He is survived by his parents, two brothers and his grandparents. After a short service at the Sunday School Assembly at Waterloo the remains were shipped to Postville, arriving here Sunday forenoon by train, from whence they were conveyed to the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Carl Hein, where the funeral was held on Monday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. R. Kuehne officiating, preaching in both English and German. Interment in Postville cemetery.
