DIED-- At the residence of her daughter, Mrs. C. H. Barnes, Dec. 26, 1884, Mrs. Annis Beedy, wife of John Beedy, aged 84 years, 2 months and 6 days.

The funeral services were held at 11 o'clock a.m. Sunday, the 28th inst., at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Barnes, where Mr. and Mrs. Beedy have resided of late, conducted by Rev. J. R. Cameron, of the M.E. church and managed by G. W. Hanks.

Mr. and Mrs. Beedy were both born in the same year, 1800, only 47 days difference in their ages. They were married in western New York, Jan. 2nd, 1820. Yearning to build themselves a happy home they came to Clayton county, Iowa, in 1852, settling near Hardin, where they have since lived.

Over 65 years this aged couple have lived together, surrounded by children, enjoying life, with nothing to blast their joys and hopes until death separated them.

Mrs. Beedy was a devoted christian, and belonged to the M.E. church.
