Alberta Mae Knickerbocker

Alberta Mae Knickerbocker, age 90, of Lansing, died Saturday, August 11, 2012, in La Crosse, WI, at her daughter’s home. Alberta was born October 15, 1921 in Lansing to Arthur and Ethel (Derr) Olloff. She graduated from Lansing High School.
Alberta married Alfred Andrew Knickerbocker April 1, 1940. To this union two children were born, Alfred and Dixie.
Alberta was the head cook at Kee High School in Lansing for many years. She enjoyed baking, crocheting, reading and also taking care of her family.
Alberta is survived by her daughter, Dixie Beaty of La Crosse, WI; five grandchildren, Vicki (Steve) Miller of Selma, IN, Tracy Knickerbocker of Sugarland, TX, Troy (Donna) Knickerbocker of San Antonio, TX, Mistie Abnet of La Crosse, WI and Timothy Beaty of La Crosse, WI; and great-grandchildren, Ashley, Steve, Dawn, Alyssa, Griffen, Andrew and Zoe.
Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Andrew Knickerbocker; her son, Alfred Arthur Knickerbocker; two grandchildren, Ricky Knickerbocker and Kimberly Knickerbocker; her parents; and four brothers, Arthur, Norbert, John and Tom Olloff.
Funeral Services were held Wednesday, August 15 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Lansing. The Rev. Kevin Smith officiated. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lansing.
Thornburg – Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service Lansing was in charge of arrangements.
