An Old Postville Boy Is Brought Here For Burial.

Daniel F. McDaneld was born in Postville, Iowa, March 17, 1881, and died at a hospital in Minneapolis, Minn., November 19, 1924, aged 43 years, eight months and two days, his death being due to smallpox.

At the age of sixteen years Dan started out in life for himself. He learned the barber trade of Wm. E. Durno of this city and has since followed that occupation successfully in Redlands, Calif., Sioux City, Iowa, and for the past seven or eight years, and until his death in Minneapolis. He was an honest, upright, industrious young man, blessed with a friendly disposition, and enjoyed himself most when contributing to the comfort and enjoyment of those whom his genial ways drew about him, and his death will bring a pang of sorrow to many friends wherever he was known.

He is survived by three sisters--Mary McDaneld and Mrs. Laura Angel of Postville and Mrs. Edith Miner of Watts, Calif.; also by one brother--John M. Griffin of Denver, Colo.

The body arrived here last Thursday night from Minneapolis and on Friday was laid to rest in the family plot in Postville cemetery, The Rev. R. F. Galloway conducting a short service at the grave.
