Mrs. Wilhelmine Baltz Passes Away On Sunday.

Mrs. Wilhelmine Baltz passed away at her home in this city last Sunday afternoon, her demise following a paralytic stroke suffered a week previous.

She was the widow of Carl Baltz, who died in November 1919. In the year 1882 they with their son William came from Germany, settling on a farm in Winneshiek county. In 1914 they retired from the farm and came to Postville to reside.

Mrs. Baltz was born Jan. 23, 1861, in Charlottenhof, Mecklenberg-Strelitz, Germany, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Buelow, and at the time of her death was aged 64 years. She is survived by three sons, William, August and Fred Baltz, all of Postville, and five grandchildren. She has two sisters living in Germany, and a brother, August Buelow, in the state of washington. One of her children, a daughter, died in 1904.

Funeral services were held from St. Paul's Lutheran church in this city at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. E. T. Finck. Interment in the Postville cemetery.

Mrs. Baltz was a good neighbor and friend, held in high esteem by all who knew her.
