Waukon, IA. --(Special)--

Fred Winke, 87, died Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ed Becker, in Waukon.

Winke was born April 15, 1864, in Ludlow township and lived his entire life in Alamakee county. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs.. Henry Winke. His wife, the former Mary Ludeking, whom he married June 14, 1895, died 13 years ago. Since then he had made his home with his daughter.

In addition to Mrs. Becker, Winke is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Art Kruger, also of Waukon; two sons Ben and Rueben, both of Ludlow township, and 11 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Martin's funeral home and at 2 p.m. at Zalmona Presbyterian church, the Rev. Henry Jacobson officiating.
