Emily Dobson-Harris, youngest daughter of Samuel and Rebecca Dobson, was born March 09, 1852, in the state of Indiana, and passed to her heavenly home at Rising City, Neb., April 11, 1923, where she had lived for many years. She was the youngest of eleven children, all of whom, save two sisters, having preceded her - Mrs Jane S. Laughlin of Barberton, Ohio, and Mrs. Taca Deal of Waukon. She was married to Geo. Harris at Waukon in 1870, who with eight children are left to mourn her departure. Mr. and Mrs. Harris celebrated their fiftieth wedding annniversary some two years ago. Mrs. Harris will be remembered by the older settlers of this locality having spent her early life on a farm with her parents near Bethel church. Having been reared by parents of a devout nature she clung all through life to their early teachings. She was a good neighbor, a kind and loving mother, devoted to her home and family and will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends.

Mother, we would not have you stay and linger longer in your suffering this way. God has called you home, and we gladly say, farewell, mother, we will meet you some sweet day.
