Jeannette "Nettie" Clements

Jeannette E. "Nettie" Clements, 69, of LaCrosse, WI, died on Thursday, September 7, 2000 at her home. She was born on June 14, 1931 in rural Stoddard, WI to Ferdinand and Martha (Strasser) Lenser. She married Lucious "Louie" Clements on October 3, 1950 in LaCrosse. Louie died on July 19, 1984.

Nettie is survived by 2 grandsons, Jessie and Nicholas Barr, both of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 2 nieces, Janice Zielke of Viroqua, WI and Janet Zielke of LaFarge, WI; her daughter-like friend, Cindy Folcey of LaCrosse and special friends Lavonne Mabb of Postville, Iowa and Paul Schaller of Mauston, WI. In addition to her husband, Louie, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Ann Barr on February 10, 1986; a granddaughter, Hope Ann Barr; a sister and 2 brothers.

Funeral services were held on Monday, September 11, 2000 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, LaCrosse. The Rev. Rachel Thorson Mithelman officiated. Graveside services and burial were in the Postville Cemetery, Postville, Iowa on Tuesday, September 12, 2000 with Rev. Robert Hupp officiating. Schutte Funeral & Cremation Service was in charge of local arrangements.
