Brownsville, Minn. – Funeral services for Joseph Quillin, 68, who died at St. Francis Hospital Saturday where he had been confined after a stroke, were conducted at 9:45 a.m. today at the Blaschke Funeral Home, La Crosse, and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Brownsville, with the Rev. Aloys Quillin, Canton, officiating. Burial was in the La Crosse Catholic Cemetery.
Quillin, born at Waukon, Iowa, had been an insurance agent in La Crosse for 20 years. He was a member of the Western Wisconsin Life Underwriters Association, La Crosse Optimists Club and Knights of Columbus. He was a charter member of the fourth degree of the K of C’s, and a member of the Brownsville Holy Name Society.
He is survived by his wife, the former Luella Roster, Brownsville; two sons, the Rev. Aloys Quillin, Canton, and Giles, Brownsville; three grandchildren; two brothers, Thomas, La Crosse, and Edward, Waukon, and three sisters, Mrs. John Plein, Farley, Iowa; Mrs. Fred Hancock, and Mrs. Michael Sweeney, Waukon.
