Yesterday afternoon the body of Joseph Kean was brought from La Crosse, where he died at 2 a.m. yesterday in St. Frances hospital as a result of an operation performed on Tuesday for appendicitis. He was brought to Lansing Jan. 28th suffering much and on Monday of this week removed to the hospital in the hope that an operation would give him a new lease of life. Deceased was the eldest son of Chas. Kean, a splendid young man, whose death will be regretted among a very wide circle of friends. His age was about 29 years.
