Died, at his home on Round Prairie, Aug. 12, 1901, Knudt Knudtson. He was born in Sigdal, Norway, Sept. 28, 1815, and came to America in 1849, locating in Mineral Point, Wis. He came to Allamakee in 1851, locating at the place where he died, being one of the first settlers. He married Miss Ragnild Lonar at Lansing in 1852, and there were born to them seven children, four of whom are living, Mrs. A.M. Banks of Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. H. G. Johnson of Waukon; and Thos. and Chas., on the old homestead. Funeral on Thursday, August 15th, at his late home and at 10 a.m. at the West Paint Creek church, Rev. Gronlid officiating [Republican.
