Marie L. Moses, age 92 of Prairie du Chien, died Thursday, May 8, 2003 at the Prairie Health Care Center. She was born March 19, 1911, in Postville, IA, daughter of John and Mamie Muchow. She married Lawrence Moses on October 7, 1930 at St. Patrick's Church in Monona, IA. He preceded her in death on May 9, 2001. Together they farmed in the Monona and Prairie du Chien area. They also owned and operated a tavern in Galt, IA for a number of years. She is survived by 2 sons: Don Moses of Hanover Pk., IL and Darwin (Marion) Moses of Garnavillo, IA; a sister Margaret Levy of Des Moines, IA, 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and 5 brothers. Funeral services were held Monday, May 12, 2003, at the Garrity Funeral Home Chapel in Prairie du Chien, Rev. James Warosh S.J. officiating, with burial in the St. Patrick's Cemetery in Monona, IA.
