Laura Fruechte

Laura Fruechte, 102, of Lansing died Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at Thornton Manor in Lansing. Funeral services were held Thursday, August 18 at the United Methodist Church in Lansing, with Rev. Kevin Smith officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lansing.
Laura Bishoff was born March 29, 1909 at home in Lansing. She was the daughter of Charles and Amelia Martin Bishoff. September 1, 1951 she married Leo Fruechte. After Leo died, Laura took care of elderly people in their home. She was a member of the German Presbyterian Church and later the Lansing United Methodist Church.
She is survived by nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo, November 7, 1966; and a brother, Arthur, at eight weeks old.
