Funeral services for Mary Margaret Connor, age 72, of Lansing, Iowa, were held Monday, April 14 at Immaculate Conception Church with Father Herbert Tegeler officiating. Burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery. Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Kevin Connor, Seth Connor, Brian Connor, Rick Gramlich, Jeremy Jostand, and Mike Kasten. Honorary bearers were her grandchildren.

Mary Margaret, daughter of John and Margaret (Walsh) Finnegan, was born January 28, 1925 in Mauston, Wisconsin. On October 7, 1944 she married Glenn Connor in Lansing, Iowa. They became the parents of 15 children. They lived the majority of their lives in Lansing. Mary spent many years as a bookkeeper for the local IGA store and was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing, Iowa.

Mary Margaret Connor died Friday, April 11, 1997. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Al Connor and Rick Connor, and one grandchild.

Mary is survived by her husband, Glen; 13 children, Jack (Debbie) Connor, Jim (Mary Jane) Connor, Denise (Jerome) Jostand, Ken (Mary Ellen) Connor, Diane (Bob) Gramlich, Debbie Connor, Collette (Bob) Kasten, Colleen Becker, Marty (Randy) Beneke, Jeff Connor, Trish Bulman, Robert (Marnita) Connor, and Shawn (Becky) Connor; 36 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 brother, John Finnegan of Mauston, Wisconsin.
