Funeral services for Bert Seth Stafford, age 84 years, 5 months, and 9 days, were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 26 at the Monona United Methodist Church in Monona, Iowa. Rev. Paul V. Clements officiated. Pallbearers were Neale Downing, Dean Downing, Gary Downing, Curtis Rentschler, Ervin Jones, and David Hexom. Burial was in the Smithfield Cemetery, rural Volney, Iowa. Schultz's Funeral Home of Monona was in charge of the services.

Albert Seth Stafford was born on May 13, 1885 in Franklin Township in Allamakee County to Seth Newton and Betty Clara (Entwistle) Stafford. On September 1, 1909 Bert married Ethel Fern Henderson. They became the parents of 5 daughters.

Bert Seth Stafford died January 22, 1970.

His daughters were:
1. Betty Ann Stafford died at the age of 2
2. Hulda Clara Stafford died in infancy in November of 1926
3. Bernice Regine Stafford married Vernon Downing
and she died in 1941.
4. Madonna Gertrude Stafford married Carl H.
Syverson.
5. Maxine Stafford first married Carl Hexom and
her second marriage was to Lewis Green.
