Funeral services for Alvina M. Entwisle, age 91, were held Monday, February 12 at the Martin Funeral Chapel in Waukon, Iowa with Rev. Bill Patterson conducting the services. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery in Waterloo, Iowa. Casket bearers were Charles Baird, Karlton Kappmeyer, Klint Kappmeyee, and Brock Sands.

Alvina, daughter of Frederick and Martha (Baeth) Ennullat, was born May 2, 1898 in Linton Township, Allamakee County, Iowa. She attended country school in Linton Township and German School in Missoula, Montana. The family moved to Missoula in 1908, then to Marshfield, Wisconsin in 1912 before returning to Allamakee County, living in Waukon between 1913-14. On December 4, 1918 Alvina married Paul Entwisle at Walnut Street Baptist Church in Waterloo, Iowa. In 1974, Alvina moved back to Waukon, Iowa. She was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church where she was active in the Women's Missionary Society, had taught youth and adult classes, and served as a deaconess. She was also active in the Women's Christian Temperance Union.

Alvina M. Entwisle died Thursday February 8, 1990 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon,, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Paul Entwisle who died October 30, 1968, 2 brothers Oscar Ennullat, Edwin Ennullat, and 2 sisters, Frieda Ennullat and Ida Ennullat.

Alvina is survived by her brother Arthur Ennullat of Waukon, Iowa, 2 sisters, Ella Baird of Waverly, Iowa and Anna (Steve) Smey of Waukon, Iowa; 6 nieces and 5 nephews.
