Funeral services for Loren Junior Rodman, age 74, of Waukon, Iowa were held December 10 at First Presbyterian Church of Waukon, Iowa with Rev. Larry Olson officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Oakland Cemetery Waukon, Iowa. Casket bearers were Robert J. Anderson, Lester Delaney, Earl Gander, Neil Barth, Richard Sanderson, and Ralph Grotegut.

Loren Junior Rodman, son of Alva and Monica (Arduser) Rodman, was born November 14, 1925 in Monticello, Iowa. He was baptized and confirmed at the United Presbyterian Church in Springville, Iowa and graduated from Springville High School in 1942. He served in the US Navy as a radarman from 1943 until 1946. He saw duty in the South Pacific. On July 6, 1947 he married Nyda Mae Deeney at the Presbyterian parsonage in Waukon, Iowa. He then managed the Redi-Mix plant for a time until becoming a partner in West Side Lumber Company of Waukon, Iowa where he worked for many years. Recently he helped oversee construction of the Waukon Aquatic Center. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Waukon, the VFW and the American Legion.

Loren Junior Rodman died December 7, 1999 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon, Iowa following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nyda Mae, and an infant son, Donald Allen Rodman.

Loren is survived by his sons Len (Julie) Rodman of Olathe, Kansas, and Brian Rodman of West Union, Iowa; a brother Lyle (Mary) Rodman of Decorah, Iowa, and 2 sisters, Carl Macon of Iowa City, Iowa and Wanda (Bob) Wencl of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
