Funeral services for Elizabeth "Betty" Darling, age 60, were held Friday, November 24, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Henry Charipar officiated. Casket bearers were Dennis Olson, Brian Meyer, Jack Darling, Kerry Darling, and Jerry Plagge. Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home, Lansing, Iowa was in charge of arrangements.

Elizabeth was born March 31, 1935 to Bernard and Josephine (Beyer) Meyer in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. She married Tom Darling on June 13, 1955. Betty worked at the Garment Company in LaCrosse and at Lansing Company. She also worked as a babysitter.

Elizabeth Darling died Tuesday, November 21, 1995 at St. Francis Medical Center in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and a brother.

She is survived by her husband Tom; 3 daughters, Darcia Darling, Dina Darling, both of New Albin, Iowa and Debby Darling of Lansing, Iowa, and 2 sons, Doug Darling and Danny Darling, both of New Albin, Iowa; 6 sisters, LaVonne (Curt) Marsh and Patty Meyer, both of Galesville, Wisconsin, Lorelda Stoen of Burlington, Wisconsin, Delores (Joyce) Nelson of West Salem, Wisconsin, Carol (John) Ryan of Guttenberg, Iowa and Mary Ann (Richard) Pittman of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; 2 brothers Darrell (Donna) Meyer of Stoughton, Wisconsin and Bernard (Bev) Meyer, Jr. of Winona, Minnesota, in addition to nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth "Betty" Darling, 60, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, at St. Francis Medical Center, La Crosse, WI.

She was born March 31, 1935, to Bernard and Josephine (Beyer) Meyer in La Crosse. She married Tom Darling June 13, 1955. He survives, as do three daughters, Dacia and Dina of New Albin, and Debby of Lansing, and two sons, Doug and Danny of New Albin.
