Word has been received of the death of Alice Rominger, age 86, wife of the late Dr. Clark R. Rominger, former Waukon, Iowa residents. Alice Rominger, * Her maiden name is not listed *, was born August 1, 1911. She died Wednesday, February 18, 1998 in Arizona. A memorial service was held Saturday, February 21 at Wood Dale Village in Sun City, Arizona. The Romingers lived in Waukon for many years before moving to Arizona after Dr. Rominger retired.

NOTE OF THE TRANSCRIBER:

Dr. Clark Rominger was a very well-known medical doctor in Waukon, Iowa. His father, Clark Wilson Rominger was also a doctor in Waukon, Iowa. They worked together for many years. Their patients would refer to them as "Old Doctor Clark and Young Dr. Clark."

Dr. Clark and Alice Rominger, had two daughters (I am not sure if they had more than two children). One daughter was Judy Rominger and the other was Mary Rominger. Mary Rominger graduated with the Waukon Class of 1960 and I do know that she is deceased. I believe that Alice Rominger was a nurse and for a time she worked in the medical clinic with her father-in-law and her husband.

Dr. Clark R. Rominger, was born February 6, 1912 and died November 1, 1994 in Arizona. He had graduated from the Waukon High School in 1929 prior to going on to medical school.

Old Dr. Clark Wilson Rominger, was born October 19, 1880 and died July 29, 1962 and his wife, Florence (Lang) Rominger, born July 3, 1886 and died September 12, 1974 are both buried in the Oakland Cemetery in Waukon, Iowa.
