Gruber, age 51, of Des Moines, Iowa were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 16 at the Plymouth Congregational Church in Des Moines, Iowa where he was formerly a deacon. Burial was in the Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines with Grandview Funeral Home in Des Moines, Iowa in charge of arrangements.
Earl F. Gruber, son of Earl and Doris (Larson) Gruber, was born December 13, 1938 in Lansing, Iowa. He was a graduate of Lansing High School and Iowa State University where he was a member of Alpha Chi Rho Fraternity. He served in the Army in Vietnam. He was a member of the ISU Alumni Association, Toastmasters International, Association of Systems Management and Seven Flags Fitness and Racquet Club. He was a senior analyst for Fiancial Information Trust in Des Moines, Iowa.
Earl died Wednesday, June 13, 1990 at the Fitness and Racquet Club in Des Moines, Iowa where he was a member. He suffered a heart attack.
He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Gruber.He is survived by his mother, Doris Gruber who resides in Des Moines, Iowa; his wife, Dana, also of Des Moines, Iowa; 3 daughters, Leigh Anne Anderegg of Urbandale, Iowa, Laura Crist of West Des Moines, Iowa and Susie Gruber of Des Moines, Iowa; 2 step-daughters, Kari Wallace, Bobbi Wallace, and 1 step-son, Marc Wallace, all of Des Moines, Iowa; 1 grandson; a brother, Neal Gruber of Huntington Beach, California and a sister, Marilynn Lancaster of Ripley, Mississippi.
