Funeral services for Charles William Rademacher, age 71, of Harpers Ferry, Iowa, were held Thursday, January 4, 1990 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Ann's-St. Joseph's Church with Father Duane Raftis officiating. Burial was in Paint Rock Cemetery in Harpers Ferry, Iowa with Hanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were grandsons James Miller, Michael Lofquist, Robert Rademacher, grandsons-in-law, Phillip Johnson, Don Montgomery, and Mark Zook. Honorary pallbearer was grandson Mark Rademacher.

Charles William Rademacher, son of George and Stella (Shaw) Rademacher, was born November 9, 1918 in Floyd County, Iowa. He married Opal Marie Spurbeck on March 22, 1939. He had been a supervisor for White Farm Equipment where he was employed for 31 years. He was a member of St. Ann's-St. Joseph's Catholic Church. He was a former member of the Moose Lodge and Eagles club. He was a pilot and builder of experimental aircraft.

Charles William Rademacher died Saturday, December 30, 1989 at the Memorial Hospital in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Opal; 4 children, Charlyne Miller of Des Moines, Iowa, Dr. Roger Rademacher of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, Sandra Onken of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and William Rademacher of Rogers, Minnesota; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, Verle Rademacher of White Sulphur Springs, Montana, and 2 sisters, Ida McCoy of Dix, Illinois and Doris Townsend of Rawlins, Wyoming,
