Funeral services for Joyce Darlene Olson, age 54, of Lansing, Iowa were held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 1 at the United Methodist Church in Lansing, Iowa with the Rev. Tom Mattson officiating. Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lansing, Iowa with Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Gary Iseli, Cecil Olson, Ronald Olson, Steve Scholtes, Eric Sorum, and Leonard Waters.

Joyce Darlene Olson, daughter of Evelyn Benoni and Hulda Bertha (Kerstein) Olson was born September 5, 1935 in Lansing, Iowa. She attended Lansing Public School. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church in Lansing, Iowa.

Joyce Olson died Sunday, January 28, 1990 at her home in Lansing, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, George Kermit Olson.

She is survived by 3 brothers, Curtis Olson of Onalaska, Wisconsin, James Olson and Rodney Olson, both of Lansing, Iowa; 2 sisters, Anita (Burnell) Sorum and Judy (Robert) Iseli, both of Waukon, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
