A funeral mass for Genevieve J. Hill, age 77, of Berwyn, Illinois was held Thursday, September 13 in Illinois at St. Mary of Celle Church with the Rev. Beath officiating. On Friday, September 14 a burial service was conducted by the Rev. Henry Charipar at the St. Mary's Hanover Cemetery in Allamakee County, Iowa. Hanson Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements. Casket bearers were Rory Lopez, Arnold Kaslofski, Jeff Hill, Rob Keenan, Robert Waunn, and Richard Marose.

Genevieve, daughter of John and Mary Ann (O'Meara) McLaughlin was born in Waukon, Iowa on April 18, 1913. On January 26, 1932 she and Earl C. Hill were married in Las Vegas, New Mexico. They also lived in California and Illinois.

Genevieve died Monday, September 10, 1990 at the Loyola Hospital in Maywood, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 4 brothers, John B. McLaughlin, James McLaughlin, Ralph McLaughlin, and William D. McLaughlin; and 2 sisters, Dorothy Marie McLaughlin, and Mary Bernice Olson.

She is survived by 10 children; Robert Hill, Jeanine (Rubin) Lopez, Paul Hill, James Hill, Fred Hill, Bernice (Robert) Keenan, Donna (Robert) Waunn, Bernadine (Tom) McArdle, Margaret (Arnold) Kaslofski, and Edward Hill; 34 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
