Funeral services for Brandon Michael Sebastian - Boland, age 17, of Harpers Ferry, Iowa, will be held today, May 10 at 1:00 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Chapel in Waukon, Iowa. Rev. Lynn Groe will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Rossville Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Raymond Boland, David Fish, Jr., Roger Puckett, Harold Thompson, Fred Reinhardt, and Kyle Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Flint Hillman, Jim Oswald, Matt McGeough, Merle John Boland, Jim Thompson, and Chris Puckett. Martin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Brandon Michael Sebastian was born December 23, 1972 in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. He attended the Allamakee Community Schools and did carpentry and construction work in the Harpers Ferry, Iowa area. On Wednesday, May 8, 1990 Brandon drowned in the Mississippi River near Harpers Ferry, Iowa.

Brandon is survived by his mother Lynn Sebastian Boland and step-father, Vernon E. Boland; maternal grandparents, Francis and Virginia Sebastian of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; 4 sisters, Jean Mattos of Harpers Ferry, Iowa, Wanda Hillman of Waterville, Iowa, Rita Jones of Luana, Iowa, and Brenda Laufer of McGregor, Iowa; and 4 brothers, James Boland of Decorah, Iowa, Merle Boland of Ava, Illinois, Raymond Boland of Waterville, Iowa, and Michael Boland of Wausau, Wisconsin.
