Funeral services for Estella L. Huebner, 87, were held Thursday, Jan. 15, 1981 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville. The Rev. Julius L. Peterson and the Rev. David R. Nelson officiated. Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Estella Louisa Huebner, daughter of Albert and Anna (Brandt) Zieman, was born Aug. 24, 1893 in Clayton County near Postville. She died Jan. 13 at Community Memorial Hospital, Postville.

She was baptized April 6, 1894 and was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She received her education in the rural schools, graduating from Postville High School in 1912 and attended Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls. She taught in the rural schools and Luana Consolidated School.

June 26, 1917 she was married to Rudolph C. Huebner. They farmed near Postville until they purchased an interest in the Luhman and Sanders Store.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Margaret; a granddaughter, Dianne Overland; a brother, Elmer Zieman and a sister, Mrs. Elmer (Clinda) Weihe.

Surviving are a daughter, Shirley (Mrs. Ernest Overland) of Huron, SD; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Vurni Zieman of Elkader.
