Funeral services for Dorothy Evelyn Huebner, were held Wednesday, February 5 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church at Postville, Iowa. The Reverend Charles W. Miller officiated. The Schutte Funeral Home of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery. Casket bearers were Jerome Lenth, Loren "Gus" Meyer, Jeff Brink, Lyle Sebastian, Kevin Hageman, and Dan Becker.

Dorothy Evelyn, daughter of Clifford and Mabel M. (Cowdry) Hale was born September 29, 1912 at Anamosa, Iowa. She passed away Saturday, February 1, 1992 in the Palmer Lutheran Health Center at West Union, Iowa. She had reached the age of 79 years, 4 months, and 2 days. She was baptized in the Cass County Congregational Church near Anamosa, Iowa. She attended the Belleview, Iowa High School. On August 21, 1933, Dorothy was married to George J. Huebner. A daughter was born to this union. The couple moved to Postville, Iowa in 1939. Since that time they had lived in the Decorah, Iowa, Elkader, Iowa and Ft. Dodge, Iowa areas and then returned to Postville where they have lived for many years. Dorothy opened a craft shop and then become involved in making and selling ceramics.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; a brother John Hale and a sister, Marjorie Kehoe.

Surviving are her husband, George; a daughter, Kathryn (George) Brainard of Luana, Iowa; 3 grandchildren, Ann (Kevin) Hageman of Festina, Iowa, Susan (Jeff) Brink of Waukon, Iowa, and Teresa (Dan) Becker of Elgin, Iowa; 6 great-grandchildren, Daniel and Elissa Hageman, Andrew, Ashley, and Allison Brink and Elizabeth Becker; 2 brothers, Stanley (Charlotte) Hale of
Edgerton, Wisconsin and Richard (Marjorie) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and a sister, Ardith (Dale) Condry of Anamosa, Iowa; and a sister-in-law, Genny Hale of Platteville, Wisconsin.
