Luella C. Stock, age 80, of Waukon, Iowa died Friday, November 12, 1999 at the Waukon Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa following a brief illness. Funeral services were held today, November 17 at 11 a.m. at the Zalmona Presbyterian Church in rural Waukon, Iowa. Rev. James Walker officiated. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Casket bearers were Leo Carter, Virgil Opfer, Neil Klocke, Jim Nagel, Don Nagel, and Allan Rissman.

Luella was born January 18, 1919 on the Ludlow Township rural Waukon farm of her parents, John and Lena (Debner) Nagel. On December 17, 1936, she married Reuben S. Stock at the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church Parsonage. Luella and Reuben farmed in Ludlow Township until moving to Waukon, Iowa in 1976. Luella worked in the dietary department at the Good Samaritan Center for several years after moving to Waukon. She was an active member of Zalmona Presbyterian Church and related church organizations.

Luella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reuben; her sister, Alvina Klocke and brother Edward Nagel; and her great-grandson, Richy Bushman.

Luella is survived by her son, Roger (Carol) Stock of Waukon, Iowa; daughter Beverly (Larry) Whittle of Decorah, Iowa; 4 grandchildren, 1 step-grandson, 7 great-grandchildren, and 4 step-great-grandchildren; 1 sister Amanda Stock of Waukon, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
