Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 17 at Meeks Mortuary Chapel and burial in Elm Ridge Cemetery, both in Muncie, Indiana, for William Tobin, a former Waukon, Iowa resident.

William Thomas Tobin, age 62, died Monday, September 14, 1998 at his home in Muncie, Indiana. He was born November 7, 1935 in Waukon, Iowa to William Tobin, Sr. and Isabelle (Narmonta) Tobin. William graduated from high school in Waukon and attended a trade school. After graduating he moved to Muncie, Indiana where he worked as a printer for the Muncie Star newspaper for 40 years. Prior to his retirement, he was a foreman. He was a member of the Catholic Church and Eagles Lodge #231.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Delores Tobin.

William is survived by his wife, Dorothy; 2 daughters, Cindee (Jim) Porter and Candee Tobin, all of Indianapolis, Indiana; 1 step-daughter, Cheryl (Bob) Schrieve of Muncie, Indiana; 1 step-son and his wife, Michael (Teena) Petro of Gaston, Michigan; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald "Red" Tobin, Sr. and wife Betty of Waukon, Iowa and sister, Evelyn (Loren) Green of Clermont, Iowa.
