Gerald J. Kelly, age 75, of Houston, Minnesota, died Sunday, December 17, 1989 at the Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 20 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Houston. The Rev. Joseph Keefe conducted the 10:30 a.m. services. Burial was in the church cemetery with military rites by Amet-Sheldon American Legion Post. Cook Funeral Home of Houston was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Ray Wagner, Larry Jones, Paul Jones, Wayne Kelly, Dale Jones, and Rick Jones.

He was born July 27, 1914 in Waterville, Iowa to Francis and Margaret (Heim) Kelly and attended school in Paint Creek Township, in Allamakee County, Iowa. He served in the Army during World War II. On June 8, 1948 he married Cleone Jones in Cherry Mound at the St. Pius Catholic Church. He was a retired accountant for Ace Telephone Company in Houston. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Houston American Legion, and Houston Sportsman's Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Cletus John Kelly.

Surviving are his wife, Cleone; 3 sons, Michael Kelly of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, Allen Kelly of Ridgeway, Minnesota, and Thomas Kelly of Lincoln, Nebraska; 3 daughters, Jean Mozdzier of Tupper Lake, New York, Mary Van Gundy of Waterloo, Iowa, and Carolyn Britson of Houston, Minnesota; 15 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Edwin Kelly of Montezuma, Iowa and Carl Kelly of Waukon, Iowa; and 2 sisters, his twin, Geraldine Wagner of Harpers Ferry, Iowa and Frieda Kelley of Snohomish, Washington.
